The Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) hosts a wide array of events to help support, fund, celebrate and educate the young athletes of tomorrow. The IAS conducts many specialised talks from professional consultants to specifically help and educate their athletic scholarship holders. An annual Presentation Night rewards and acknowledges the achievements athletes reach through out the year. Dinners and receptions also allow for the IAS athletes, board members and associates to give back and thank their supports, as well as build connection to gain new contributors to programs.

IAS events all aim to develop athletes by equipping them with skills and tools they need to reach the next representative level in their chosen sports.

  IAS Induction Days

  
  The IAS conducts an introduction for every athlete into their sporting programs. Activities at Induction days include presentations on topics such as Women in Sport, Drugs in Sport and How to be a Supportive Parent, uniform presentation, squad meetings and photos. Two induction days are held each year. The first in May for Cricket, Cycling, Golf and Lawn Bowls and the second in October for Rugby Union, Netball and Individual Athletes.
