Meet the New IAS General Manager

The Illawarra Academy of Sport ( IAS ), is pleased to announce the appointment of M/s Carolyn Dews as the IAS's new General Manager.

She replaces Mr Mark Brogan who resigned late last year due to ill health.

Carolyn has a strong background in the sporting , community and corporate worlds as either a participant or an administrator.

She has competed in the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon, she is the President of the Illawarra Triathlon Club, Board Member of Triathlon NSW and the immediate past President of Healthy Cities Illawarra.

She is currently the Marketing Team Leader at the Illawarra Business Chamber. 

In the past she has been the Regional Programs Coordinator for the NSW Cancer Council which included involvement in Relay For Life.

Carolyn's appointment comes at an exciting time for the IAS-Australia's first regional Academy of Sport, as it prepares to host the ClubsNSW Regional Academy Games-featuring young Academy athletes from throughout NSW- in April. 

The IAS congratulates Carolyn on her appointment and have every confidence that she will lead the Illawarra Academy to even greater success in the next few years.
